Life: The Conflict Within Poem by Charles Wallace

Ideas are the vision that guide me, as I walk down these roads that define me

Emotions exist as a conflict within me, a struggle each day to see which will win me

Doubt is forged into chains that may bind me; my faith is the key to unlock and release me

Fear then arrives and attempts to besiege me, as I stand behind courage that shields and protects me

Hate is a fire that may rage deep inside me, but love it burns deeper, the hate can't consume me

Despair is a force with the power to break me; hope that's to strong it will always remake me

These words are spoken in order to teach me, but transformed into knowledge they forever stay with me
