Life Unholds In A Delicate Dance Poem by Mohammad Younus

Life Unholds In A Delicate Dance

Life unfolds in a delicate dance—
adjusting our steps to its rhythm.
Each step, a lesson;
each turn, a hidden truth.

Rhythm reveals itself
not in standing firm as stone,
but in the grace of bending—
like branches heavy with fruit.
Unbroken, they bloom,
their beauty deepened
by the weight they bear.

To understand life
is to touch the pulse of wisdom,
where rigid edges dissolve
like mist at dawn.

We are not weakened by shifting tides—
we are refined by them,
like stones smoothed
by the river's endless touch.

In this dance, we adjust our steps,
not as surrender,
but as the unveiling of grace—
where the dancer pauses, listens,
knowing when to hold on,
when to let go,
when to attune the spin.

The dance of life is harmony—
soft, enduring,
like the hush before dawn.
It hums in the quiet of love and peace,
echoes in the divine silence,
and lingers in the warmth of light-filled smiles.

To adjust our rhythm is not to lose,
but to grow—
to bloom into the fullness
of who we are meant to be.

Life, in all its crossings,
asks not for perfection,
but for the courage to move with it—
to trust the dance,
even when the next step is unseen.
