Lifeless Poem by jodde taylor

Lifeless

Floating above,
time and space
rapid thoughts peer
through open rain.

Nights crawl,
with vague descent
with all arrogance,
the windows not fully closed.

A stark reality,
to self imposing philosophy
dying in an unkept verse,
screaming for silence.

Waiting for the minutes,
to burst into full blown balloons
flying with my head,
half way swinging.

Suspicious tales,
lay in an open buffet
feasting on a desertion
of truthful postures.

Slowly crawling across,
a naked flame
to find a smokey ending,
where the clock stops.

Filtered resemblances,
of wishful colours,
where dreams come to walking shadows,
within the walls of a hollow tree.

Substituted gladness,
drowning a contouring sadness
blind and seeing,
filled but steaming.

Taken apart,
all over again,
by perpetual things, which singe and bend
broken glass, so smashing clear.

Breathing in reigning lifeless,
it's a serenade to the frequent deaf
yelling out with conscience,
falling into realms of darkness.

Breaking away the day,
sun staring on a vacant mountain top
still the journey,
is walked in continuous white,
snow white...pure, is the lifeless...
