Life's Comforting Torch Poem by james watkin

Life's Comforting Torch

Wretched vision! Noon's but lately
Smiled on, when set beside.
World-lost; and quite forsaken.
But one, more obvious then
For Love's heart-warming guide.

Out Sun's favour, nightly stepped.
Encircled, engulfed by
What darker, storming, now is.
But seen of both, un-doused bliss!
Reflects each rain-swept eye.
