Light - Poem by Temple Jones

After you turn on the light what do you do
Do you turn to look back at the things that you tripped over?

Do you wonder what items in the room were moved or turned upside down?

Do you laugh out loud because it is the same items that was in its place before the lights were turned out?

Well in life, we all stumble over things we encounter
We trip
We fall
We do look back at what we went through

Do you learn your lesson after falling?
Do you sit in the middle of the road trying to figure out how they got there?
Road blocks has never been in our plan, but sometimes God throw things at us to see how we will react to them

When you fall, trip or even stumble, how do you get back up again?
Do you stand right away
Do you crawl, or
Do you cry out for help

Well when you face oppositions in life what do you do
Talk to family
Talk to friends or
Do you pray to God?

The light has always been at the end of our storm
We go through things to strengthen us

Do you learn a valuable lesson at the end of the storm?
Do you ignore the fact that God is trying to tell you something?
Do you ask the question of why, when the answer is in your face?

I want to have light on, during and after my storm.
It’s not pretty when darkness is all around and I can’t see light.
God is my light who I have faith in because I know that HE will not leave me when I am going through something.
The economy is bad, but I am able to have shelter, clothes, food and money to pay bills. It may not be much but I can make it.

Friends may leave, but my Light will NEVER leave me
Family may lie on me, but my light will always shine the truth on situations.
Relationships may fail, but the relationship that you have with HIM will never fail.
