Light Poem by Kiki Materi

Light

Rating: 5.0

Inside a black soldier
Inside a khaki costume
Light spreads warm
Light wrapped a youth

The weapon in a corner
The flask on the heart
A tiny drop on the mother's eye
Light with no words

Light in coalface
Silence with golden lines
Little bells are standing there
Light in the sound which echos

We left almost midnight
Following moons
Our eyes half-closed
Light we said the what's news

The light in our sight so much
Everybody were dead
The light somehow artificial
They were dying like me
