Light Poem by Paul Brenthley Adan

Light

It was never about the implicit emotions given by unique circumstances but rather of understanding and consequences…
You have shown me that the light shines away from the moon and the sun the only light you see.

I have no wish to wake your slumber nor to disturb your calm disposition… I have accepted my faith and that is to view you from afar and watch another hold your hand.

I have fooled myself long enough to see that my hopes be reality, I have longed enough to feel that ends mean nothing and that beginnings masks only disappointments

I fear that I have abandoned my dream but in its place is the regret that I didn’t even had the chance…
