Weakness In Time Poem by Paul Brenthley Adan

Weakness In Time

You revive the frailty that is I.
It is in you that the meek find themselves in a dance with daggers,
The brave wishing for courage and the moon shining like the sun…

I have nothing to contest nor do I have to offer what you have already in abundance
But I do know that worth is never fleeting…

I ask for nothing but time… it is only in this indulgence that I will know you
I care not for the intricacies that is complicated by opinion
I care only for a glance of your smile… and the thought that you are well.

We share a common predicament… our commitment to uphold the norms of society
That hearts should be tied to one and no other course of action is acceptable…

Kind of like a wave, well as I did sway down the reading of your poem: -P
