Light And Righteousness Will Ultimately Win (Sicilian Sonnet) Poem by Gert Strydom

The impact of absolute truth remains throughout,
the entire world might be an empire to sin
but light and righteousness will ultimately win,
while still God do take leaders in and out.

Evil men do bring their divisive schemes about,
in acts and words that with deception begin,
drag others into their machinations in,
into the evil that they do follow devout,

while mortal still mankind does remain
and what we do, say and the things we choose,
do come to our destruction or to what we gain,
where we help others up or do them abuse,
does our world with light or darkness sustain,
does selfish use or selfless greater love induce.
