Light Through Lace Poem by Rob Lamberton

Light Through Lace

Rating: 5.0

Your shadow takes on Light
Your shades lift with the night
And all the colors of your face
Shine like light through lace

Let me pull the curtains wide
Breathe my breath with you beside
See the flowers rise and fall
As the birds send up your call

Let the wispy rivers flow
As the browns begin to glow
Neath the fountains warmth embrace
Touching lightly on your face

But in peace you take it in
Not knowing how or even when
But the chimes begin their call
Repeating notes but never all

For the glory of our home
Rests upon a bed of bloom
Waking slowly to the day
And the eyes which on you lay
