Life is like a river,
Stones and dimples bend,
Bending back and forward,
Light the sun doth send.
Smooth it flows in good times,
Roughly though in bad.
On and on its flowing,
Though it may be sad.
Not to fear for ev'ry,
Stream has got its stones.
Every life worth living,
Each has cause for moans.
When you see a river,
Beautiful it seems.
You never see the troubles,
In the lovely streams.
Rivers be a-speaking,
They would say 'don't moan
Think of fun fulfilling,
Not of every stone.'
