Like London

Heading home from work
-saw the signs of London
-a foggy, scary was the road
-as it is in movies of London
-fearful, suspicion and horror
-the clouds sat on Earth
-between them no space
-everything appeared as shadow
-eyes were expecting
-surprised by some ghost

"But I am…"
-I recall, recover…
- "…not there; am here
-Ontario, GTA
-New Market-Toronto

And I look
-and still sort of wait
-for sudden
-corpse jump of nowhere
-open mouth of grave

Instead
-in my search
-encounter a girl who
-is poet and Muslim

Name, Nasim
-translate to "Breeze"
-a Muslim with Hijab
-immigrant forever
-warrior

Hide my face…
-feel ashamed
-am I too, a poet?

"No, no, no, don't be fool
-you try and mimic…?
