I have lived like slave
As nice gentleman and well behaved
Spent life peacefully
Earned the fame successfully
Yet I felt something short
Everything is in order to report
But find no well wishers with good intent
I shall have every reason to resent
With all good deeds, I remained well known
People considered me close friend of their own
They found me an easy target to solve their problems
My real hardship was never made known to them
I rushed all over with humanitarian aspect
No doubt, it earned me with so much of respect
All over places, I was made known for generous act
But I found no shine in their eyes when they reacted
I was given title of real sage
The name was sure to appear on golden page
Yet I lived no real life among wolves
I was only taken care of artificial love
I have only one satisfaction
I could maintain good relation
Even though at the cost of personal suffering
I was never driven to discomfort for anything
Outcome of all altruism. Steven Avolio10 minutes ago The only true and real way to serve others is to serve yourself letting the byproduct benefit others. I am not sure I understand this poem and the point you were trying to make Hasmukh. It is not one of your better works. It was ok.
