Limerick 030 Poem by John Carter Brown

Limerick 030

There once was a man from Dundee
Who got stuck up a Sycamore tree;
His friends rallied round
But could not get him down
So he floated right off on a key.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
For those who don't know: Key is another name for the Sycamore seed, which has 'wings' that assist seed dispersal. The line wouldn't make any sense at all otherwise! See, you learn something every day.

I did not know that. They also look like a radiator bleeding key I think. I do love a Limeric. Short and sweet!
