Lips

Those were the lips
that spoke of an eternity
of sheer delight
The only ones that I believed
among the myriad of lips
that passed my way.
The lips that sang and cried
and laughed with earnest thought
The echoes of those tender lips
still linger in my mind
as if their message was just sent.
