Listen A Life Story Etched In Water Poem by Terence George Craddock

Listen A Life Story Etched In Water

listen a life story etched in water
both young or old individual stories unfold
to run to walk in old age waver

water falls from far heavens
sometimes falls with gentle grace
leaving ripples in experiential thoughts
on surface of each life lived inner mind space
water can be swallowed in thirst quantities from rivers

a story teller can gather spun water shed life shadows
a story teller can gather spun water shed droplet fragments
spinning thought through cast action in day night scenes
soft bright an opera of light weaving theme tone style verses
in shifting multiple variation sought life meaningful themes

poetry is the language of the soul each soul
must tell a life story birth bright variations to lost dark
poetry is a bridge between worlds across river meanings
in slow current or swift devastating flood waters
life emotions will must a life tale walked unfold

some souls may tempted lace life with alcohol drugs
to attempt transit past stagnant waters river floods
some may embrace art music painting sculpture poetry
in these artistic quiet light or music loud sanctuaries
solace release may be found most people will find outlets

pour heart into word moments seeking peace
will hear trickle of thoughts find river lifestyle rhyme
guiding or falling through the labyrinth of time
