Listening To Buddy Guy Poem by Edmund V. Strolis

Listening To Buddy Guy

Rating: 5.0

Listening to Buddy Guy, shakin' the neighbor's windows
Don't pretend to know me, that's reserved for family and friends
The ones I love and live with, within their joy and sorrow
This circle can't be broken, never, not today and not tomorrow

Listenin' to Buddy, feeling that personal universal pain
Don't sit and play judge, unless you hold a ringside seat
With those under our tent, young and old within the fold
A place beyond the noise where our moments are all gold

Love to family and friends with room enough for more
The price of admission is honesty, loyalty, good humor and soul
Here inside are the finest gifts that this world can ever offer
Every gentlewoman, gentleman, grandchild, son and daughter

Oh what a wonderful piece of poetry. It really made me smile from my heart. You are a very lucky man to have such love around you and so much love for them and who they are. Peace of mind in happiness is truly a blessing. Very well expressed. A very deserving 10.
