Listening To The Rain Come Down Poem by Smoky Hoss

Listening To The Rain Come Down

Rating: 5.0

Falling rain rules the roof overhead
with the sound of gentle fury,
a blended song of simplicity and depth,
power and fragility,
streaming down over ceiling, wall and window.
Living water enters my mind
as I lay engulfed in a sinuous illumination.
My bed becomes a boat of enchantment,
a flowing rumination
borne upon the river of being;
within it I find myself
willingly lost in a timeless tranquility,
becoming one with the wonder
of liquid dreams.

Great poem, Smoky. I love to hear the rain on a metal roof when I am inside, snug and warm, as long as the roof doesn't leak!
