Little Babies Poem by Edwina Reizer

Little Babies

Little babies, why do you come
and live for only a few years,
or maybe some months
or just some days?
And then you leave us with tears.

Was it your intent to remind us call
how fragile life can be?
Or did you change your mind about earth
and return where it's heavenly?

Little babies so cuddly and warm
your life was taken away.
We wish we could have kept you near
so we could watch you play.

Now where you are we can only pray
that as our days so sad
come upon us one by one
you'll remember your mom and dad.
