Little Fatigue Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Little Fatigue

Rating: 5.0

I felt little fatigue and tiredness
It reflected clearly on my face
I searched for tree's shed
The feet were unable to lead

It started with deep breathing
Lungs were in trouble and heart was beating
Faster than the rate permissible
I felt deeply and sensed it as trouble

Sun was at its height
I thought it will be too late
It was certain to be taken over by fate
I decided to rush towards gate

I don't know how far I rested
But my patience was tested
I was approaching some dead end
Now I must think seriously and change the trend

I never saw shade of body this before
I was arrogant in behavior therefore
I never thought that I am growing old
One day I may have to bid bye to the world

First time I witnessed shadow
I had not allowed it to grow
Kept body fit and exercised
But last leg of journey was not revised

The shadow was taking me over
It had grown larger than my full body cover
I realized it was real life with evening
The crisis was not over but deepening

First time I felt like and old man
Far away from the truth as human
Life was never meant to result in such tragedy
I felt over it several times already

I shall not be dejected
As mind had over reacted
It is blessed cycle of eternity
Put into practice by almighty
