Little Lamb Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Little Lamb

Mother, lays her baby down to sleep
singing a tender lullaby
As an Angel waits to take him where
babies never cry
On the way to La La Land
they are joined by several more
Other, tiny little lambs,
to play with by dreams shore

Many of his little friends
convey their inner thoughts
With half formed words and giggling
in the funny way they talk
Young virtue sets forth a delightful feeling
while babies are at play
If only in the time they grew
that part of them remained

Pony rides and nursery rhymes
keep smiles on every face
Leaving no desire
for young hearts to awake
If little ones had their fancy
dreams are where they'd stay
But Angels know just when it's time
for all children to wake
