Little Old School - Poem by Faithful Addiction

Well I am back here – today is Monday
There is an aching in my head
Everything I know just seems too small to
Argue with the facts

Backtracking here all my life
Thinking what do we do wrong?
Why people we love the most,
Are the one who makes us mourn?

Why we hate the one we use to love?
Once upon a time

Is that a problem or just a bad experience?
Nothing seems to be fine.

They say a Man is only true man when he
Protect, provide and love (his family)
Respect the other Women
And never break nobody’s trust

I heard the virtues of a true man says
He is Provider, protector and lover
He respects all and his dignity above
And die for one another

But it’s hard to find these virtues in today’s so called “Man”
For them love is the opportunity
They must play with - when they can
Moreover modern women are also not the same, they don’t lack far behind
Actually they are one step ahead
You never know what’s on their mind

Nowadays! we don’t care about anything, just anything at all
All our thoughts are either carnal or financial - that’s default
Having said that I feel sad, very bad for our human clan
I doubt if we should be called “civilized” after all?

Greed drives us all and it leads to our actions
Which ultimately mature as a catastrophic destruction?
Often we misunderstand our greed as our love.
No matter what it causes we want it all above.

But I think that love a feeling that’s so divine
No matter how I try, my words cannot define
What I’ve felt lately, “love is a pure surrender”
You offer your soul… and just give it all…

Giving is what gives you pleasure
The kind of bliss you never felt
And when you get her soul back
And she surrender’s….
You’ve found your true love!

Every day I keep trying
Not to confiscate my charm
Having said that - I am trying
To make a world where there’s no harm

Where people will live happy with no grudges in their lives
Working to make your life batter, not only thinking but acting wise
Where there is faith in relations
And trusts that won’t brake
A place where life rejoices and smiles are not fake…
