Living To Delude Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Living To Delude

No one who has had various experiences,
Coming with an objective,
To choose from which to pick...
Will provide the ultimate,
Best life to get.
Since life is a throw of dice.
And how they land,
Seldom is there an option...
To do over what is done,
With this to do more than twice.

And no one living should assume,
Another doing the same thing...
Will remain the same unchanged.
From a youthful past to have had.
While others claim,
With less experiences to live.
That someone going through changes,
Not have done to decide...
From which experiences,
Will leave them to forget...
What to them was done.
Or where they had adventured from.
Since impossible it is,
To remember what was done did to...
With others too who were just kids.

This process is life.
Whether to like it or not.
And remaining the same unchanged,
Is foolish for anyone to believe they can stop.
To reject unaccepting,
While living to delude a life not to include...
Changes that are made,
And those who do this...
Going through various experiences.
May not meet the approval,
Of those who claim they will never change.
From times long gone.
Taking away their youth and their pursuit,
To insist with it persisted...
What it is others should remember.
With it then to become offended...
Experiences to live them,
Come for some to live the ones done...
Left in a past to no longer exist.
As if kids to relive kept to revisit.
Living to deluded to refuse to let go.
