Load a gun with your dreams,
Fire them if you dare.
Just hope that you don't catch a little shrapnel.
This world will tear you apart if you let it.

Wrap your hopes in bubble wrap,
Just pray they don't get popped.
This world has a way of letting you down.

Keep your innocence as a beloved secret,
Don't let the world crack you.
They'll throw you to the wolves.

Lock your fears in your head,
But don't get caught up in them.
This world will try to push you over the edge.

Hide your memories in a heart-shaped box,
Throw away the key,
This world will try to bring up the unwanted ones.

Hold your happiness with care,
But don't let it go.
This world will try to make you forget it.

Let your love be known,
If you are brave.
This world will try to end it.

Follow your heart,
When you have nowhere else to turn.
This world doesn't have all the answers.
