Locusts Poem by Mason Maestro

Locusts

The beast, he hovered everyday
In a bottomless pit deep down and locked away
Collide some atoms, scratch the fire
Evil minds they will conspire
The locusts emerge
We're on the verge
Our future fades and it looks quite dire

Out in the park young Shiva bares his cosmic dance
'Can you distinguish me? '
He sings to the legion
They worship in a trance

Collide some atoms, scratch the fire
Evil minds they will conspire
The demons emerge
Foul smoke vent surge
The locust raid give way to higher
Hear the trumpets of the choir
