Logic And Common Sense Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Logic And Common Sense

Certain principles kept,
Once to have been...
Priorities to keep standard.
To reach with belief.
As values to maintain.
Have gone.
To no longer be memories.
Even by the ones,
Older enough to remember...
What respect meant to give.
Knowing it to be accepted.
And returned to receive.
In these days to live and experience,
Logic to have 'and' with common sense.
Is as rare as to witness,
Children being children.
And raised by adults,
Taking responsibility for their actions.
Without accusing to blame someone else,
For suggesting they should think...
With minds God has given them to use.
Before reacting to nonsense.
And petty stupidity quick to display.
