Long Journey Poem by Yinka Meander

Long Journey

So long a journey-
Little did I know
That within my cocoon of folly,
The lessons of the past
Would become tools of purpose
For the future ahead.

What awaits me?
Surely, something worth waiting for-
A promise rooted in the past
Now revealing itself in the present
Meandering my ways to this extent
As I meander through life's uncertain paths.

Oh Lord!
Grant me strength and perseverance
For the I seek.
