Long Live Peace Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Long Live Peace

Rating: 5.0

Hopes for a positive G20 summit crumbled today

Hopes have dashed
Everybody has rushed
To their home towns
To prepare for move that is unknown

The peace is threatened
The troops may be hastened
There shall be open strike
Much to everybody’s dislike

It will smoke
With little poke
From super powers
Death may shower

Thousands may parish
With life still unfinished
Where to go and hide?
When death widens net

Long live peace
But that may not be seized
Peace drums may cease
War cry may be released
