Long Lying Love Poem by Stephen Harris

Long Lying Love

my love for you knows no bounds yet binds me naked
spread limbed and tied with silken threads on pleasures bed
awaiting the whim of the four wild winds that blow
with the will of the child's untimely kick which tosses
leaves long dead and fallen on ambers carpet floor

and though I know our paths of gentle trails and dales
now lead to settling sun once high now lying low.
I will walk tall with fates gladius blade pointing
at my bare unarmoured back ready to bear that grief
and treasure those brief moments of our long living love

A poem of which I could say much, but this is not the place with the space for it. Only to say that I found some lines to contain a good level of poetic expression though I failed to capture the meaning of two of three.
