Longing Poem by Edwina Reizer

Longing

Rating: 4.0

LONGING

My soul will never feel the longing
that my body does.
Its life is pureness and peaceful.
Oh, that my body was.

This body of mine craves too much
and is much too anxious in its quest.
Must it wait for the soul to conquer it
and provide it with sweet rest?
