Longing - Poem by Samantha Burnsed

the longing,
it seems to grow stronger the more i'm away from him.
i long for him,
To look into those deep brown eyes that seem timeless,
To hear his luagh mixed with mine in perfect harmony,
To see his face that lights up a room as if he were the sun,
I long for him,
To set my impatience to a rest,
To feel my heart beast faster in my chest,
To finally understand why coherent thoughts around him do not exist.
I long for him,
I do not pretend to understand why,
I do not pretend to undestand how,
I understand i'm falling for him.
His happiness fills my soul like the wind that plays in his hair,
His sorrow makes me feel like crying into a million pieces,
His words, his closnes, and expressions play havoc with my heart and mind.
I long for him,
I feel so close but yet so far from him,
I feel as if i might burst with joy to see him agian,
I feel I cannot exist in happiness without him.
I long for him,
I wait for him to see,
I wait for him to figure it out,
I wait for him to tell me his thoughts.
The longing for him is great,
For I am falling for him,
For i'm in love with him.
