Look Beyond The Trees Poem by Mohammad Younus

Look Beyond The Trees

Look beyond the trees—
to the stars that hum
in the silence above.
Some blaze with a fleeting fire,
bursting into novas that scatter—
their light like wildflowers,
while others burn slow for eons,
their glow unfading,
woven into the fabric of night.

Galaxies drift, spiral, and collide—
a cosmic dance
that shatters and reshapes,
as from the dust of endings,
new worlds bloom.

The moon, in her quiet rhythm,
waxes and wanes,
vanishing into shadow
only to return in fullness,
silvering the sky—a soft hymn to return—
teaching us that what disappears
often circles back to light.

Even the sun, steadfast as breath,
bows each night
beneath the horizon's veil,
only to rise again—
its descent a pause, never a farewell.

And so, the cosmos speaks—
through stars that fade and flare,
the moon that ebbs and swells,
the sun that kneels and ascends—
each echoing the truth we long to hold:
endings will come,
but nothing truly ends.
