Standing with dignity before them
His face is etched with pain
Not one word is spoken
With anger they shout out his name
The governor found no fault in him
He washes his hands before a crowd
With the hope of being free of guilt
Wishing this violent mob would recant aloud
He was so tired from the night before
His sweat poured as blood to the ground
Heartfelt supplications to his Father
Yet, no guilt in this man would be found
His stance was majestic and calm
No retaliation parted his lips
The angels sadly viewed his suffering
As his flesh was seared open with whips
He endured ridicule unimaginable
Knowing he was man's last only hope
Never wanting reproach upon his Father
Such a weight was unbearable to cope
The lack of food and water left him weak
His perfect body was terribly bruised
This man did nothing wrong
However, he would thus stand accused
Burdened with carrying his own torture stake
How much could he possibly bear?
Still he courageously held on
Assured that his Father was always there
The greatest figure in all history
With dignity and strength he stands
Behold, his unshakable integrity
See, before you, 'Look! The Man! '
