Looking For Fools To Follow Poem by Mark Heathcote

Looking For Fools To Follow

Sometimes, we're not in control of all we do
it's not easy to be foolish as foolish is,
not as much as you might think or do…
cause even fools can teach us a few
important lessons about who we are.

As we strike-out and hurt one another
shaking our fists at that tree of life,
looking to find the roots of our own shadows
who, look like fools looking for fools?
Even we might follow.
