Looking Outward Poem by Michael J ORourke2

Looking Outward

Looking outward at the structures
The walls that men have built
The celestial mirror reflects our soul
The inner pause...and flash of guilt

We press and strive...ache and yearn
Making that ominous temporal bet
Mindless of whom we owe and serve
...paybacks of an eternal debt
