Loosing Your World Poem by Cora Lee

Loosing Your World

Rating: 5.0

Why do I bother putting make-up on
this beautifly broken face?
My shattered soul has taken its toll,
on this put-back-together place.

Tears falling down, who notices
the pain that comes from inside?
Because my heart is in half, I've ran from the path,
to the safe arms of danger to hide.

Cracked limbs and broken wings,
I lay on the cold ground,
They are no longer vital without you-my survival
to this earth I slip deeper, without a sound.

I love the rhyme scheme you attempt to use here, it's really interesting. the rhythm is a little patchy, but maybe something to work on if you ever re-write it? Overall, a really nice piece.
