Lopez Takes Asylum Poem by Pasquale DiMeola

Lopez Takes Asylum

Safe refuge in a country far
Beyond the guarded border
A vision of a wishing star
Much riches made to order

Cold churches with sanctuary
Blest in contrite virtue
Helping out the ordinary
When the bondsmen break through

Have less to offer than the calm
Senora, of your charms
Warm kisses like a magi's balm
Encircled in your arms.
