Lord Bless Me With An Appetite

Rating: 5.0

Lord Bless Me With An Appetite

Lord bless me with an appetite
To hunger for Your Word
To hunger and thirst after righteousness
To know the blessing of God
Not in a minuscule way
But with a path of full diligence
Making a sincere inquiry Lord
And leaving nothing to chance

There is a way that seems right unto a man
But the end thereof is death
It's not until we read your Word
That we find You're the Author of breath
You breathed into man the breath of life
And He became a living soul
And sin separates us from You Lord
How we need You to take control

Your ways are far above our own
Your thoughts we know them not
But You have assured us by Your Word
That You have forgotten us not
But in the person of the Son
Most blessed Lord Jesus Christ
You've taken our sin...yes every last one
And accepted His Sacrifice

When Jesus rose up from the dead
We have arisen as well
He became our Righteousness
And delivered us from Hell
And placed His Spirit in our heart
The transaction it was done
Now a residence of permanency
Saved by the Crucified One!

That Word brings satisfaction
In fact! .. My chief delight!
And how I thank You Father
For whetting my appetite
Food and drink and meat to eat
It's all at the banqueting table
Come ye who hunger and thirst for change
In the Word find my God is able!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
