Lord Help Me

Lord help me to have a heart for God
As David did of old
To stay in close communion with You
As each scenario unfolds
And murmur not nor complain
Whatever be my lot
But draw upon Yourawesomeness
Contented in each spot

Aware of who You are my God
The just and holy One
Who offered up as sacrifice
Your only begotten Son
And gave forgiveness in full measure
Now the just can live by faith
And embrace each precious Word
Spoken from Thy book... Thus saieth!

Lord help me find my spiritual cave
Where I can retreat in prayer
Where I can pour out my heart confessions
Knowing you are there
And once again refresh myself
In a timeout Lord with Thee
And consecrate myself again
For Him who died for me!
