Losing Her Poem by Ray Hansell

Losing Her

Rating: 5.0

I'm standing in the cold rain
Hoping it can wash away
All the hurt and pain
That I'm feeling here today

She told me we were through
That she was leaving tomorrow
I'm not sure what to do
As I've never felt this much sorrow

I thought of going to a bar
To drink my pain away
But I know it wouldn't heal
Exactly what I feel today

Or maybe go and smoke some weed
To really dull the senses
But I know by doing that
There could be consequences

So I figuered I'd stand in the rain
Alone on this winter night
Knowing well that I'm to blame
That things didn't turn out right
