Lost, Forgotten Poem by soren Barrett

Lost, Forgotten

What genius' lie forgotten in past pages of skimmed history
What heroes buried in lost graveyards of hidden mystery
Great poets unread now lie with the dead
Words bled that never to ears were spread
Earth holds in her womb their concealed tomb
A dark room that holds treasures turned gloom
My eyes blood-shotten or' paper shrouds of woven cotton
Bodies lie rotten where wisdom and beauty is forgotten
