Lost In The Dark Poem by Nebil Elias

Lost In The Dark

Have you ever felt lost in the dark?
Like your whole world had been ripped apart?
You aimlessly wander around, yearning for the light.
But it's nowhere within your eyes sight.

You reach deep into the nothing.
Desperate hoping to find a bit of something.
But there's nothing but empty all around.
There is no serenity, comfort, or joy to be found.

But all you find is everything's gone
There's nothing left to grab upon.
Your world is spinning out of control.
You're so lost in the dark you can't find your own soul.

Is anyone out there?
Does anyone care?
Is this really my life, so full of despair?

Darkness is everywhere that I look.
Consuming all lightness from every nook
Every day wandering in darkness, uninterrupted.
Hoping no one knows I've only pretended.
