I love this refreshing perspective, and what a great photo to go with it! The last two lines are brilliant.
This is truly magical. Inspired by Nature, this comes straight from the soul. The reader is lost in the aura of this amazing write. Soothing to the senses, as if we have stumbled upon truth. A 10.
I was thinking Nosheen how when seen from the sky our earth has this moss of landscape. A thin green veil in the big scheme of things draping our planet and we move within it doing the best we can and being too hard on ourselves on the whole. We visit the world we are given by no choice of our own. A free gift that we are anxious to own. What is poetry but a reminder to transcend our inherited state. Let's be honest so many people are going about their business in a predictable state of being. Can you imagine how lucky you are to have won the lottery of chance and was born to be you? A thinking, feeling, reasoning, compassionate creature. Able to adjust oneself and improve and not surrender to the mind numbing ignorance that is so pervasive. In the hustle and bustle and blur of a city street teeming with people rushing about madly your mind remains engaged, in tune, in the now..........and that makes all the difference.
Reflective, so well written and such a beautiful composition of words. Love this Edmund. Your words take me to that timeless space, A sense of the shimmering in between things. Hard to put words on it even when you describe the most ordinary thing there is a flavour of the formless. I particularly like the last two verses. I felt scattered and restless today but this poem brought me back to the still place. I feel centered again.thank you Edmund
You know Norah I tolerate distractions although I resent them. I have written before of the bliss of a year on an island alone with books and the stars. Free from the corruption of culture. To start at zero with no preconceptions of love or life.To see things through fresh eyes and to silence the dialogue we are taught. You felt scattered and restless. Two words, like flags upon a mountain of expectation. Stay centered Norah Tunney and welcome the advise that you would surely wish for others.
Hey, Edmund! My first time reading this. I like how what could have been seen as disappointment, was instead the cause to take in the lovely scene before you. The last stanza sings(! ! !) Glen
