Lost In Time Poem by Dawn Rodgers

Lost In Time

Rating: 5.0

I'm lost in time...
I hear the sound of your voice,
The tears run down my face as I remember your tender embrace,
I see your face,
How you hold your hands,

Everyday I think about the time we've shared...
those precious moments so beautiful and rare,
when you opened your heart exposing your true self...

Yet, you run fast and hard,
leaving me lonely and confused,
feeling broken and used...

Still I sit by the phone,
waiting for your call...
and when I wrote the letter saying 'goodbye'

What did You say?

'I lost it. Can you write another? '

I try to forget you but you consume my thoughts...

You've stolen my heart and the pain of loving you when we're
apart is almost more than I can bare.

And then a moment by your side and I'm lost all over again...

Poignant writing Dawn. Something of the loneliness of a secret love here as well. Moving.
