Lost Lives… Old Year 2016 Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Lost Lives… Old Year 2016

Lost lives… old year 2016

Old year shall depart
It was so dear and remained our part
It had bitter and sweet taste
That had sealed our fate

I don't know
How many faces did not show?
Lost their lives in bombing
And scores of many in fanatic thinking

What was international thinking?
We are not taking
Any clue from leader's ideology
But thank for sparing lives by an almighty

Many nations accommodated refugees
Despite restrained economy and stresses
It was humanitarian obligation
Thrust upon small nations

We may all thank once again
To the main nations
Who took lead to alleviate suffering of human being?
Despite heavy losses on defense spending
