Lotus Flower Poem by Randy McClave

Lotus Flower

It pushed itself through the dirt
And the ugliness of the murk,
It knew that it was born from a seed
But, it declared of itself that it was no weed.
It should not flower thoughts did loom
But, it still pushed itself through to bloom,
As though tempting to disapprove and very cunning
It became something quite marvelous and stunning.
No matter were you come from, or your fights
It's your decision to bloom to your delights,
Take the right path and bloom into beauty pure
With tolerance and strength and changes to allure.
An ugly duckling had become a swan
Sometimes art is drawn first with a crayon,
God shows all has the strength and the power
As we look and we think, of the Lotus flower.
