Love Poem by Farid Mtokonyo

Love

Tides do change sometimes,
And love turns sour,
It goes against gravity of hearts,
But there is such a hour,

Then our souls become,
Petrified, Struck, Hurt,
Defied, Schmuck, Blast,
Despaired, Crack, Cast
Its called the love game,

Love is a two way traffic,
Happiness one way, hurt the other,
Although people desire one specific,
That happiness stay, And hurt slither,

When tears flow its beginning,
Of what lies ahead of you,
For falling in love is sacrificing,
Your self joy with no clue,

For the heartbroken,
Don't cheat, Neither last,
Surely forget, Once hurt,
Don't trust, Fear regret,
Care best, Prove least,
It's why its called LOVE,

This is so true. A perspective about love that captures it in totality. Great piece!
