Love And Gravity Poem by Lorelei Page

Love And Gravity

I saw the moon reach out to the sun
One more day gone and done
The ending never, ever ends here
And yes, I guess I'm still afraid that all the things I love and want will disappear
And yes, I guess I still hate that she has to smile through her tears
I left and went the long way
I went and did this the hard way, the wrong way
And yes, I guess I'm still afraid I'm far too far to turn around and go back
And all day long, I hate the fact that she still sings alone
Or just without me
I saw the moon reach out to the sun
She burnt her fingers, one by one
With her eyes painted all my favorite shades of all my favorite colors
Like all my favorite ways to count the ways I wanther
The ending never, ever ends here, it's never, ever gone and done
And the moon will never, ever not reach out to the sun
And yes, I guess I'm still afraid you sing alone
Or just without me
