You And I Poem by Lorelei Page

You And I

Sometimes our dreams bring such strange tides
Sometimes our lives just don't go right
And sometimes we can't stop the collide...
Now we're cold, lost, alone
We're tested and tried.
But never forget that for the rest of our lives,
our lives are forever entwined.
Was I the brightest star to you?
You are the better part of me,
We are two pieces that fit together perfectly.
Never did I want to fail you
hurt you/ or be the reason for your tears.
Never did I want to be away from you for so many years.
I wish so much I was your turtle, your fireman and your key.
I wish so much I never messed things up this much
and never had to leave.
There is nothing in this world I won't do for you
or our family.
Thank you Love
Thank you for being there for me.
