Love Does Not Stray Poem by Lorena Walker

Love Does Not Stray

Sweet Amberystn
My lover runs wild
with the wind
and it blows her soft blonde hair
covering her beautiful face
and the sun looks down upon her
and frowns because he too
knows the handthat runs
through her hair
the hand that is not mine
but of a man, far from his youth
with wrinkles under his brown eyes
that the sun sees her gaze into
my lover runs wild
then places her body
wrapped in a silk nightgown
upon our hard bed
she turns over
want to get wild?
and i know exactly how she wants it this time
and she turns over and frowns
and the moon smiles at the sun
regret. shame.
sweet amberstyn
tommorow she will run wild
but tonight
she plays off innocence
